I wish I could express exactly what it is that makes this place so powerful. To see me try, view our new video short (less than 3 minutes), which captures a glimpse of the magic of this valley, wrapped in an invitation to visit.

John Hauf, founder & director, Patagonia Frontiers:
The Patagonia Frontiers mission is to connect people with wilderness through education, adventure, and conservation. And we want to do that by offering programs, which use this as a natural classroom or wilderness classroom, and at the same time, so that we are allies for the surrounding parks and communities.
We're not folks that have come here and are going to do our program and then go. This is it for us – whether Patagonia Frontiers keeps going or not. This is home.
One of the other things that makes Patagonia frontiers unique, I hope, is our dedication to the conservation of the of the wilderness classroom. I can't express enough my gratitude to the neighbors here who have accepted us, who have become truly neighbors, and who have supported our goals of a broader conservation and broader wilderness classroom.
There is always something about this valley. And I don't even quite know what it is. I just know that the first time I saw it, flying over the ice field, and looking down and seeing this lake, and seeing these two clearings that looked like green jewels in the distance, it just was like – wow, there! Look at that. And then coming here, I don't know whether it's the energy of the ice field – there's all this actual physical force happening here.
There are places here where you look up and you're seeing you're seeing the same elevation change from Everest base camp to the summit of Everest. And you're standing here – by yourself – in the wilderness looking at that. That’s power. I don't know – I wish I could express exactly what it was that made this place so powerful. Maybe that's why I'm still here. I need to find out what that draw is.
There's a power here that I love. And because of that love, I want to share it.
We are currently booking programs for the upcoming season and invite you to contact us to plan your trip.
